Megan Bates, Recruiter

With over six years of recruiting experience in various industries including oil and gas, accounting, finance, construction and manufacturing, Megan Bates has been successful in securing top talent for many companies in the Edmonton area. Upon joining the team at Harcourt, Megan has moved into a specific niche focusing on recruiting within the supply chain sector.

Megan has a strong focus on business development, working to build genuine, long-term client and candidate relationships. She knows how to ask the right questions that dig below the surface in order to understand the complex wants and needs of both clients and candidates. This results in long-term placements and repeat business.

Aside from recruiting, Megan has travelled extensively. She lived in Australia for over a year, and also spent seven years living in London, England where she worked as a retail manager. Megan’s education in Human Resource Management combined with her years of recruiting experience and background in customer service management have given her the skills required to make successful organization and candidate matches.  

Megan also competes in various half-marathon and adventure-type races throughout the year. “When I have a goal, personal or work related, I do everything I can to achieve it.”
