Job Description:
Health and Safety Manager
Are you an experienced Health and Safety Manager in Alberta? We're looking for you! Opportunities in the Health and Safety field exist throughout the provice of Alberta, including the communities of Edmonton, Calgary and Fort McMurray.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor, manage and train safety coordinators
- Develop and implement various safety programs
- WCB Claims Management and reporting
- Incident investigation, analysis and response
- Coordinate all aspects of corporate loss management program
- Participate in formal / informal inspections and observations
- Organize and chair group safety meetings
- Perform routine job site audits and inspections
- Monitor and update WHMIS program
- Review accident / incident investigations and provide guidance for corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Prepare safety reports and analyze incident trends
- Liaise with client safety representatives
Qualifications:
- Recognized safety designation such as CSRP
- 5+ years within a senior safety role
- Strong organizational, leadership and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication skills: both oral and written
- Experience with WCB claims management and reporting
- Proven track record of minimal safety incidences
