Senior IT Auditor
Location: Calgary Alberta
Job Description:
Our client, one of the largest chartered accountant and business advisory firms in Canada, is currently seeking aSenior IT Auditor for their Calgary office.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and assess risks associated with the IT department
- Develop the annual IT audit plan, ensuring that significant risks are addressed
- Conduct IT audits to evaluate security, reliability and integrity
- Maintain the credibility of internal audits by following international audit standards
- Produce audit reports
- Recommend solutions for any identified deficiencies identified
- Provide training to internal auditors
- Promote IT best practices within the organization
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field
- A professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
- 5+ years of IT audit experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or a large organization
- CISA and CIA designations
- Experience with IT risk and control frameworks, such as COBIT
- Experience with Audit Management Systems, such as TeamMate
- Proficient in the use of computers, especially ERP systems including: SAP, PeopleSoft, Ross
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in writing effective audit reports and documentation
- Experience with retail point of sale systems (such as AS400)
