Intermediate and Senior Electrical Designer - HEALTH DIVISION

The Toronto office is growing, and currently looking for Professional Engineers to join the team. 

  • Contributes to the planning of a project
  • May manage a project or parts of a project
  • Independently creates own designs on a regular basis.
  • Takes responsibility to ensure the accuracy and timely completion of the various phases of projects, often creating documentation and drawings from conceptual ideas, and dealing with construction issues.
  • May have specialized design skills in a particular discipline.
  • Provides site inspections as requested by the Project Engineer including producing written reports.
  • Participates in Knowledge Management activities and projects as appropriate and agreed upon.
  • Is considered to be the go-to person in one or more areas of design, either mechanical or electrical.
  • May be asked to contribute to or write professional articles or make presentations at conferences to advance the reputation of the firm and advance technical capability
  • Participates in learning opportunities both formal and informal in order to advance technical knowledge and competency.
  • Understands and contributes to updating of company standards, procedures and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technology diploma from a technical institute
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with progressively greater responsibility
  • Ability to present advanced technical concepts in both formal and informal settings
  • Ability to apply innovative thinking and analysis skills to solve complex problems
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions
  • Skilled in the application of tools and methodologies used for product and service delivery such as Autocad, Drawing Standards, Plotters, office productivity applications, and so on
